Britain’s Princess Charlotte is celebrating her fourth birthday and her parents have released three new pictures of the smiling young royal to mark the occasion.
Charlotte, daughter of Prince William and wife Kate, is pictured in the gardens at Kensington Palace in central London, and the family home in Norfolk, eastern Britain.
The photos of the fourth-in-line to the throne were taken by the Duchess of Cambridge, who regularly releases family pictures to celebrate her children’s birthdays.

It’s a busy time for birthdays in the British royal family.
Charlotte’s younger brother Louis celebrated his first birthday just 10 days ago, two days after the 93rd birthday of Queen Elizabeth, the world’s oldest monarch.
The birth of the first child of William’s younger brother Harry and his wife Meghan is also expected any day.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not revealed a due date for their firstborn, although Meghan previously told a well-wisher it was due in late April or early May.
The Duchess of Sussex has not been seen in public for some weeks, but Prince Harry has been out and about. Most recently, he attended the London Marathon on Sunday.
Overnight, it was announced that Prince Harry would visit the Netherlands on May 8-9, leading to speculation the baby will have arrived by then.

Prince Harry’s father, Prince Charles, is also scheduled to visit Germany from May 7-11.
