Those attending this New York Fashion Week may have had a touch of déjà vu as they watched the long-limbed models parade down the runways.
This year, fashion designers swapped unknown models for the fresh faces of Hollywood’s offspring, with children of stars like Cindy Crawford, Snoop Dogg and Pamela Anderson hitting the catwalk.
Along with the usual suspects – Kardashian sister Kendall Jenner and Stephen Baldwin’s daughter Hailey, for example – there was a host of other up-and-comers, some as young as 15.
Presley and Kaia Gerber, the son and daughter of husband-and-wife models Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, have been mainstays on both the runway and front row throughout the heavily photographed festival.
Kaia, 16, who has already starred on several magazine covers despite her young age, made her runway debut for Calvin Klein and also walked for Alexander Wang and Puma, as her brother, 18, looked on from his front row seat.
That sibling pairing was joined by the Doppelgänger daughter of crooner Lionel Richie, 19-year-old Sofia Richie, who pouted her way down the catwalk for designer Jeremy Scott.
Meanwhile, Mason Grammer, the daughter of Cheers star Kelsey Grammer and his ex-wife Camille, donned a ballgown on the catwalk, looking far more mature than her 15 years.
Instagram sensation Amelia Hamlin, who inherited her striking features from actress mother Lisa Rinna and Mad Men star Harry Hamlin, earned a coveted spot in a couture show at the age of 16, perhaps thanks to her 217,000 Instagram followers.
Although unfortunately named, Mingus Reedus, whose parents are supermodel Helena Christensen and Walking Dead star Norman Reedus, has inherited his mother’s cheekbones and his father’s moody stare. Perfect fashion-week fodder.
Buff 20-year-old Cordell Broadus may not share his dad’s stage name, but he’s got the same swagger as his famous father, rapper Snoop Dogg. He brought that swagger, plus some chiselled abs, to the Philipp Plein runway.
In terms of bad-boy pedigree, it doesn’t get any edgier than Brandon Lee, the handsome product of Baywatch icon Pamela Anderson’s tempestuous three-year marriage to Mötley Crüe rocker Tommy Lee. He joined Cordell on the Philipp Plein runway.
For these blessed kids, it seems the only thing that fits them better than their jeans is their genes.
