London police say they have arrested a 35-year-old man suspected of hacking the iCloud account of Pippa Middleton, the younger sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, and stealing 3000 photographs.
On Saturday, The Sun newspaper said it was contacted by a purported hacker seeking to sell the images for a minimum of STG50,000 ($A85,118).
It said the seller communicated using the pseudonym “Crafty Cockney” on an encrypted messaging service and sent sample photos showing Middleton being fitted for a wedding dress in advance of her planned 2017 nuptials.

The Sun said the hacker also claimed to possess Middleton’s informal photos of sister Kate with her children, Princess Charlotte and Prince George, and naked images of her fiancé, James Matthews.
Middleton became engaged to Matthews, an Eton-educated hedge fund manager, in July this year.
The younger sister of Kate Middleton has worked extensively as an event planner – even releasing her own book, Celebrate – and will no doubt be taking a hands-on approach to her own ceremony.
The news of the hacking comes one year after Prince William and Duchess Kate issued a fierce warning to the British paparazzi, who they accused of “stalking” baby George and using increasingly dangerous methods to gain access to the family.

Kate and Will are currently on tour with three-year-old George and 16-month-old Charlotte in Canada.
The Metropolitan Police says the man is being questioned in London in relation to the hacking.
